Age of vines:

10 - 20 years

Vinification:

Temperature controlled alcoholic fermentation and mash agitation for about 15 days. Malolactic conversion and ageing in used barriques and small oak barrels.

Tasting notes from our winemaker:

The colour is a deep garnet-red. The Bouquet reminds of liquorice, coffee beans, cassis and cherries. Complex and fresh on the palate with well-integrated, fine-grained tannins and a soft, persistent finish.

game, game birds, lamb, classic meat dishes and hard cheese

Wine storage:

Store bottles lying down, in a dark place at a maximum temperature of 15°C.
Humidity: ideally between 50–70%.
Odour-free cellar, as foreign odours can affect the wine.

Serving temperature:

16 - 18°C
